Whittaker Carpets offers a comprehensive supply and fitting service for carpets, vinyl floors, and LVT (luxury vinyl tiles). Most of our work is for domestic homes, but we are also very happy to undertake commercial projects for offices, hotels and schools.
All sales are fully inclusive of your chosen floor covering and our professional fitting service. In order to keep our standards as high as possible, we regret that we cannot provide a fitting-only service for you if you have chosen a floor covering elsewhere.
Our service is designed to be a complete start to finish service, and is based on our traditions of taking care of every detail for you. This is not to be confused with the typical 'pile them high sell them cheap' price-based offerings available from the large retail park type warehouses. With Whittaker Carpets, you do not need to worry about delivery, finding your own fitter, or the cost of all those little extras needed to fit your carpet. We do everything that is required, and provide you with one all-inclusive quotation.

CARPET SUPPLY AND FITTING
We offer supply and professional fitting for a wide range of carpets from leading manufacturers such as Axminster, Brockway, Condor, Lifestyle and Ulster. Choose from a fine selection of carpets for your lounge, hall, stairs, dining room, bedroom - in fact, for any room in your house.
All orders come with our fully inclusive carpet fitting service, which we believe cannot be bettered locally. Our expert carpet fitting is carried out by our own highly skilled staff, and includes removal and disposal of your existing floor covering.
Our prices are fully inclusive with no hidden extras - we include measuring, delivery, fitting and associated tasks and materials such as grippers, quality underlay, doorplates and trimming doors if required. You don't even need to move any furniture - we will do all that for you.
VINYL FLOOR SUPPLY AND FITTING
We offer supply and professional fitting for an extensive range of vinyl floor coverings from leading names such as Avenue, Rhinofloor and Leoline. Vinyl floors are a durable, practical and attractive option for hallways, conservatories, dining rooms and kitchens.
All orders come with our fully inclusive vinyl fitting service carried out by our own highly skilled staff, which includes removal and disposal of your existing floor covering.
As with our carpet fitting service, our prices are fully inclusive with no hidden extras - so measuring, delivery, fitting, associated tasks/materials and furniture moving is all included in our service. For best results vinyl floors require careful preparation of the underfloor prior to laying, and we include that in our service for you as well.
LVT (LUXURY VINYL TILE) SUPPLY AND FITTING
Luxury Vinyl Tiles (typically referred to as 'LVT') is the latest in flooring technology, offering a combination of beautiful looks and desirable practicality. They look great, but are tough and water resistant too.
Naturally we can offer you the very best choice from a range of leading suppliers such as Cavalio, Gerflor and Karndean, with all orders benefitting from our expert fitting service.
Sound preparation of the subfloor is critical to the success of LVT flooring, and in that respect you can rest assured that you are in safe hands with us. We pay great attention to the preparation of the floor prior to fitting your LVT to ensure a great looking and long lasting floor.
SUB FLOOR PREPARATION
What lies beneath your chosen floor covering is just as important as the floor covering itself. Indeed this often overlooked area is essential for the look and longevity of the finish. Whether you are choosing carpet, vinyl or LVT, you can rely on us to thoroughly prepare your suspended timber or concrete floor appropriately for the chosen floor covering, and in accordance with the manufacturers' specifications.
We can check your subfloor is clean and dry, checking also for levelness, old adhesive and moisture content. We will expertly fit quality underlay, grippers or hardboard/ply bases as required. Should an area require screeding we can carry that out to the same high standards as our other work.
In short, we can ensure your subfloor is as it should be to get the best performance from your new floor covering.
